I came home yesterday to a pretty exciting letter. Despite the fact I knew in principle already I had in black and white a letter from the bank saying I had been approved for a mortgage. I put an offer for a beautiful house in Manchester almost three months ago now. It’s not been an easy or simple process as I thought it may be, however finally this piece of paper really lets me feel that things progressing and hopefully I may be on the move soon, which gets me to the exciting part – decoration!
I absolutely love home ware shopping. I love flicking through design magazines, and looking at houses for sale even if I have no interest in buying them. Pinterest for me has been both the best and the worst invention ever. I get so much inspiration from scrolling around on it, however also I spend so much of my spare time on it. So much so I have started setting myself strict timers on how long I am allowed to go on it.
So next weekend I am very excited about the Ideal Home show coming to Manchester. Whilst I may not be moved in at the moment, I am an inspiration sponge and am looking for ideas and inspiration for what is going to be a huge blank canvas and a big new start for me.
The Ideal Home show has returned following its huge debut success in 2014. The event itself is on for 4 days from the 4th – the 8th June at Event City with seven dedicated sections this year including, Interiors, Home Improvements, Food & Housewares, Technology, Gardens, Fashion & Beauty and Shopping.

The Champagne Bar sponsored by Hydropool- Kick back, relax and treat yourself to a glass of bubbly after all of the shopping.
The Ideal Super Theatre – One of the most popular features of the show, the Ideal Super Theatre will host talks and workshops from a range of experts to advice on how to make the most of what you’ve got to work with and how to make a house a home.
